Leon Steenkamp is a Certified Financial Planner® with more than 30 years’ experience in the South African financial services industry. He specialises in investment and estate planning, providing clear, structured, and practical financial advice to individuals, families, and business owners.

Leon began his career with Old Mutual in 1993, where he was awarded Top New Broker in his first year. He completed Old Mutual’s intensive training programme in record time, setting the foundation for a career built on professional competence and sound advice.

In 1995, Leon established his own brokerage, which evolved into Stone Hill Financial Services (Pty) Ltd in 2018. As Managing Director, he remains actively involved in advising clients while maintaining the high professional standards that the firm is known for.

Leon holds an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning and has been a CFP® professional since 1996. His client base includes private individuals, business owners, farmers, and retirees, many of whom require detailed estate and risk planning solutions.

Outside the financial services industry, Leon has a strong entrepreneurial background, with interests in property development and the wine industry. He is a passionate South African potstill brandy connoisseur and actively expands his knowledge of fine wines through his family’s wine boutique, which houses a collection of approximately 600 wines.

Leon is based in Montagu, Western Cape, where he continues to advise clients throughout South Africa.
